Ingredients

cocoa powder

caster sugar

A pinch of salt

large eggs

milk

boiled water

cup
vegetable oil

teaspoon
caramel flavor or vanilla essence
Instructions
Sieve flour, cocoa powder, and salt into a bowl.
In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, oil, boiled water, and essence.
Gradually add wet ingredients to dry ingredients; mix well.
Stir in baking soda and baking powder.
Bake at 180°C for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool before serving.
Notes
Use high-quality cocoa powder for a richer flavor.
For a layered cake, double the recipe and divide the batter evenly.
