Chocolate Cake

A rich and moist chocolate cake recipe that's easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 cups caster sugar
  • 1 A pinch of salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup boiled water
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon caramel flavor or vanilla essence

Instructions
 

  • Sieve flour, cocoa powder, and salt into a bowl.
  • In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, oil, boiled water, and essence.
  • Gradually add wet ingredients to dry ingredients; mix well.
  • Stir in baking soda and baking powder.
  • Bake at 180°C for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool before serving.

Notes

Use high-quality cocoa powder for a richer flavor.
For a layered cake, double the recipe and divide the batter evenly.
