Ingredients
  

Cake:
  • 1 box 15.25 oz white or vanilla cake mix
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Orange Cream Glaze (optional):
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • ½ teaspoon orange zest
Frosting:
  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice optional

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch pan or two 9-inch round pans.
  2. Mix cake ingredients and pour into the prepared pan(s).
  3. Bake for 25–30 minutes, then cool completely.
  4. Prepare frosting by beating cream cheese and butter, then adding powdered sugar, vanilla, and zest.
  5. Frost the cooled cake and drizzle with optional orange glaze.
  6. Slice and serve. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
  • Substitute orange juice with milk for a milder flavor
